Why vacations are a blessing?

If you are a student who managed to make it to vacations after ninth grade, you will pretty much agree with me. To be honest, I envy my juniors and their carelessness towards studies after being promoted to class 9. There is one thing for sure, class nine is NOT easy, and that pretty much is the reason I haven’t written a blog post for about 6 months. My vacations started a month ago and, hallelujah, I have enjoyed myself a lot. In this post, I am not only referring to school associated vacations, I am referring to P.T.O’s, semester  and every little break available to everybody  in a year or two. So, here I am with 4 reasons explaining why vacations come as a blessing:

1) Unlimited TV Shows and Movies

Throughout the year of extreme stress and anxiety about almost everything, I think that not everyone gets to relax and, watch a movie other than Sunday. Now, when the golden era of break starts, you get to watch every damn movie and show you want to without tension of delaying things.  For instance, I wait all year to watch all seasons of a certain TV show in my summer break.

2) Don’t worry, nothing’s due!

In other words, you don’t get to worry about procrastinating in your vacations. I mean, it’s what we are supposed to do, right?

Hmm. I’ll tell you that LATER.

(See what I did there?)

3)  Unlimited Naps and Sleep

Sleep is the most important factor in keeping you healthy and you get loads of it in vacations. Take all the naps you want. No restrictions on timing, nothing.  Say goodbye to dark circles!

4) We socialize!

I have seen a lot of people making new friends over the summer. Of course, you need to meet new people to make your vacations better unless you have a gaming console or pc as your best friend. And yeah, we socialize with our old buddies too via meet-ups and all.

5) Discover your talent, child!

Throughout the year, you are too much indulged in your workplace or school that you don’t have time to discover new things or talents. Vacations are a golden opportunity to do that. For example, I started painting (it’s not my mistake if paintings are horrible) this summer.

That’s all I got for you guys. I hope you guys are all geared up for your vacations. Enjoy!

Stop Lying To Yourself

We have to make difficult choices at difficult and different stages of our life. For example, I, a few days before, had to make the big choice to choose the subject for my O’levels. My decision depended on what I wanted to become in the future.  A lot of people encouraged me to take pre-medical and I know they thought it was the best for me but, it is my choice and, if in that very moment I had taken the field I KNEW I wouldn’t enjoy being in, I wouldn’t be happy  as I am right now. I enjoy pre-engineering. The fact that I am happy right now is because I didn’t lie to myself. I know I cannot become a doctor. I know bio is not my strength. I know one wrong decision can change the course of my life. To be honest, I am not nervous to make a decision that can change the course of my life. I have been taught that I have to deal with every obstacle I face and that, I have to adjust my self-according to the situation I am in but, sometimes being truly honest to yourself is really the key to become happy and successful.Tell someone that you have been lying to yourself and to them for some time now. Doing something dramatic, in a good way. Take a risk. Not doing something simply because you are told to do it or because everyone else is doing it.

People lie to themselves. They know that they couldn’t do certain things. They know that if they do something they shouldn’t, It will affect them and others around them as well but let’s not ignore the fact that human nature is daring. Daring is good but only sometimes being daring can really help you or change your life.  Before doing something we have to be sure if we can do that. For instance, I am accustomed of making to-do lists for my everyday tasks. Today, I had 5 tasks to do but guess what? I didn’t do either of them and, ended up writing this blog and I literally know that tonight, I am going to sleep with deep guilt of not doing those tasks.  Can you see where this lack of honestly taking me? To be honest, If one is truthful to themselves, life can be a lot more easier.
Sometimes, when I really don’t know what I should do, I talk to no one but to myself . I know it sound crazy but it helps. It helps me to get my thoughts in order and decide either I should do one thing or not.

I guess that was all I had for you guys today. Thank you so much for 850+ views on my blog. It really means a lot and, more blogs will be coming very soon.
